Michelle is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor who creates an inviting and safe place for healing, empowerment, and growth. She loves helping people access their own personal strengths and relinquish the narration that creates shame, pain, and feelings of inadequacy. With over 25 years of counseling experience, Michelle has developed a passion for working with people who have experienced challenges related to substance abuse, the criminal justice system, the child welfare system, gender identity, and being LGBTQ+. She also loves helping people with anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviors, bipolar disorder, ADHD, excessive anger, unresolved trauma, grief, PTSD, and many other mental health needs. Michelle uses a variety of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Reality Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
