Renee is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She received her Bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Renee pursued human resources in both private and corporate sectors, helping those in the workforce, before obtaining her Master in Social Work from Wichita State University. She has since pursued social work in the fields of education, medical and a non-profit employee assistance program and has experience working with elementary age children, individuals, first responders and couples and family systems. Mental health has been a passion for Renee beginning at a young age as she navigated generational trauma and poverty, stigma, and recognized that we all at times find ourselves with issues that impede our access to what we want in life. She knows you deserve a safe space to explore, heal and discover your strengths in learning how to forge a new path with intention and knowledge. One of her client’s said, ‘We all have our own journeys.’ While we have all probably heard this statement, and it may sound cliché, Renee believes it does speak a truth that we are all unique and deserve positive-regard for whatever issues we are experiencing in life and the paths on which we find ourselves.

In addition to evidence-based research and methods in the areas of neuroscience and trauma, Renee brings cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), person-centered, trauma- informed, strengths-based, and solution-focused methods to client health in the areas of depression, anxiety, work-related issues, stress, trauma, and life transitions. She is also pursuing training in ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) and will be adding Gottman Level 1 Couple’s therapy to her list of methods soon.
