Shawntel Shirkey, Intern Therapist
Central Office: 825 N Waco Ave, Suite 200, Wichita, KS 67203
Call or Text: 316-201-6047
Shawntel is a student intern from the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology low-residency program through The Seattle School. She is passionate about accompanying others along their journey toward healing and wholeness. Shawntel understands that beginning therapy is a very personal decision that can feel overwhelming or intimidating. It is important to have a therapist who is responsive to you and is committed to co-creating a comfortable, safe environment.
Influenced by her personal therapeutic work and her training in psychodynamic therapy, Shawntel believes that growth takes place through a deep understanding of the way past experiences impact present realities. Our feelings of anxiety, grief, anger, and loneliness are often connected to our past in ways we are unaware of. Together, we can work to uncover these connections.
Before entering graduate school, Shawntel received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Friends University. She enjoys singing, baking, and spending time outside.
