Courtney Cantrell has found an incredible space to establish herself as a Licensed Professional Counselor at SOMA. Her methods take a holistic approach, exploring and strengthening all parts of her clients’ lives. With experience in career counseling, emotional regulation, communication, and processing past experiences, Courtney believes that all aspects of life play a role in one’s current state.

Her recent work includes supporting couples overcoming infidelity and helping individual adults work through past traumas and addictive patterns. She is currently working toward completing her Play Therapy certification by May 2025, specializing in work with children ages 3–12. She is eager to grow her specialties and expand her knowledge within the community of professionals at SOMA, alongside her therapy dog in training, Remi.

Courtney is a wife, a mom of boys, and a licensed foster parent. She brings experience in child development and the Kansas foster care system, supporting both children and adults involved. She believes that everyone can benefit from counseling and genuinely enjoys the exploration of mental health. As a clinician, she is committed to lifelong learning and continuously expanding her knowledge and experience in the field of mental health.
