Penny Taylor is a Professionally Certified Educational Therapist and a Clinical Psychologist in training at Emporia State University. With over a decade of experience, Penny has devoted her career to helping individuals—especially students—overcome cognitive, emotional, and academic challenges so they can reach their full potential. She is passionate about unlocking each person’s unique strengths and walking alongside them as they grow and thrive.

Penny’s long-term vision is to integrate her therapeutic training with her background in education, providing comprehensive support that promotes both personal growth and academic success. Her approach is rooted in empathy, insight, and a deep commitment to empowering others.

Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Penny volunteers with organizations that support individuals navigating life’s challenges. She brings a rich, multicultural perspective to her work, shaped by the years she spent living in Ukraine and Italy—experiences that strengthened her belief in resilience, empathy, and the importance of meaningful connection.

Penny is also a proud wife of 26 years and the mother of two. In her free time, she enjoys baking from scratch, experimenting in the kitchen, and savoring a truly great cup of coffee.
