I believe that in addition to just theory, education qualifications, and licenses, successful therapy requires a strong therapeutic alliance. A successful relationship between therapist and client evidenced by strong rapport, trust, and genuine belief that we both want you to become the strongest version of yourself. Therapy can be a mysterious, overwhelming, and even esoteric experience to the uninitiated. I want to be your steward on the journey of becoming the strongest version of yourself while demystifying the therapeutic process.

As a clinician, once a therapeutic alliance has been established, I focus on incorporating a client’s entire ecology into custom tailoring specifically measurable goals that we work together to develop strategies to attain. A client’s ecology includes elements of their social life, family life, professional/academic life, and community life. My specializations include solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and reality therapy viewed through an existential lens. I want to help you recognize how the situations in your life measure up to your greater purpose.

My background includes work in an adolescent psychiatric residential treatment facility, child welfare, and state mandated family therapy. While completing my master’s degree in  clinical mental health counseling and school counseling, I became a full time school counselor in addition to working in a community mental health setting focused on acute crisis assessment, diagnostics, and treatment planning. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina.
