Shelley Schekall-Caldarera, PMHNP is a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in health care. Her background includes oncology, surgical services, intensive care, and case management, providing a strong foundation for her holistic approach to psychiatric care.

Shelley earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wichita State University and completed her graduate education as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Saint Louis University. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing, the American Psychiatric Association, and the Kansas State Nurses Association.

Passionate about caring for individuals across the lifespan, Shelley works with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults and values a diverse practice that addresses a wide range of psychiatric needs. She believes mental health care should be accessible to people of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds and is known for her compassion, perseverance, and patient-centered approach.

Among her proudest accomplishments is raising her twin children while advancing her education and career. Growing up on a farm in McPherson County, Kansas, taught her the value of hard work, community, and caring for others—lessons she carries into her practice every day. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, as well as running, music, and exploring the outdoors.
