“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”

– Eleanor Roosevelt.

Therapy is meant to help us find a safe place. Therapy is not for us to seek full control over our lives, but to understand we have control over our actions and the way we perceive the world. In therapy, we all have the chance to determine how we get to tell our story by using mindfulness and a cognitive understanding of ourselves.

I provide services that can be inclusive to individuals, families, and couples that are experiencing different situations in their lives. My approach is to help guide you through intrusive thoughts and work through difficult traumas that could be overwhelming. I believe therapy is to help create skills and tools to overcome or tolerate our stressors. My role as a therapist is to help support and walk with you on this therapeutic journey to overcome difficult situations and derive meaning from our trauma.

Clients who receive treatment or psychiatric medication management for mental health diagnoses, like depression, often also have symptoms of anxiety, stress, or trauma. Medication treatments alone will not resolve these concerns. If they go untreated for a long period of time, it may result in serious psychological and/or physical illnesses. To avoid this outcome, it is important to receive therapy and counseling during your medication treatment plan.
