Amy understands that beginning counseling takes courage. She works to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel genuinely supported—whether they’re facing a specific challenge or simply seeking greater clarity and healing in their lives. She believes that all people are capable of meaningful growth and that sometimes we just need the right support to move forward.
With over 17 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Amy brings both expertise and heart to her work. She spent more than a decade counseling college students at the university level and has a deep understanding of the unique transitions and pressures individuals face at different stages of life. Her approach is client-centered, collaborative, and tailored to meet each person’s needs and goals. Amy draws from a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Somatic techniques. For those who desire it, she also integrates a Christian, faith-based perspective into the counseling process, while warmly welcoming individuals of all backgrounds and beliefs.
Amy is also a Certified Integrative Mental Health Practitioner (CIMHP) and is passionate about supporting mental wellness through a whole-person lens. She helps clients explore the ways that physical health, nutrition, inflammation, the gut-brain axis, sleep, environmental toxins, and even the spaces we live in can influence emotional well-being. She has a special interest in working with those experiencing cognitive and mood symptoms connected to mold exposure, Lyme disease and co-infections, PANS/PANDAS, and other environmental sensitivities. Her interest in this area is deeply personal, shaped by her own health journey and her experience supporting her son through chronic illness.
Amy earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Missouri State University and her Bachelor of Science in Family Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has held licensure in Texas, Colorado, and Kansas. Amy now lives in Wichita with her husband, son, and their dog, Teddy, and enjoys being part of a community focused on holistic healing and personal growth.
