Avery has a passion for creating a safe and welcoming environment to facilitate positive change in people’s lives. Through unconditional acceptance, Avery aims to create a setting where all feel welcome. She firmly believes that people are more than their past and that the future is what one makes of it. With this perspective, she looks forward to assisting future clients build on their strengths and conquering their struggles to create the lives they envision. She understands that meaningful change starts with compassion, empathy and a nonjudgmental outlook.

Avery is a graduate of Wichita State University with her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She primarily works with clients aged 16 and older. She strives to be the change she wishes to see in the world, one client at a time. Avery’s diverse experiences in the mental health field include crisis counseling, volunteering, and private practice. Her primarily utilized techniques include person-centered, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy. Clients from all backgrounds are celebrated and empowered in Avery’s presence. She prides herself on the warmth, safety, and validation she provides her clients.
