Avery is a graduate student pursuing her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wichita State University. She has a passion for creating a safe and welcoming environment to facilitate positive change in people’s lives. Through unconditional acceptance, Avery aims to create a setting where all feel welcome. She firmly believes that people are more than their past and that the future is what one makes of it. With this perspective, she looks forward to assisting future clients in building on their strengths and conquering their struggles to create the lives they envision. Avery understands that meaningful change starts with compassion, empathy, and a nonjudgmental outlook.

Avery primarily works with clients aged 13 and older, striving to be the change she wishes to see in the world, one client at a time. Her diverse experiences in the mental health field include crisis counseling, volunteering, and private practice. Her primarily utilized modalities include person-centered, mindfulness, and narrative therapy. Clients from all backgrounds are celebrated and empowered in Avery’s presence. She prides herself on the warmth, safety, and validation she provides her clients.

In her free time, you will find Avery at an antique mall, enjoying the company of her dogs, or unwinding at a coffee shop. This additional insight into Avery’s personal life reflects her commitment to a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle, mirroring the holistic approach she brings to her professional practice.
