Natasha is a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist. She received her BS in Psychology and Sociology from Newman University, and her MS in Clinical Psychology from Emporia State University. She has held membership in various honors societies including Psi Chi, Pi Gamma Mu, and Phi Kappa Phi. Natasha has spent the past 10 years working in the mental health field, spending time providing individual, family, group therapy, and psychological testing and evaluation. She spent her first 5 years in child welfare, working closely with the foster care and juvenile justice systems. She has spent the past 4 years working in community mental health and adolescent residential settings. She has extensive experience working with adolescents with a variety of mental health issues.
Natasha believes in helping people overcome life’s struggles by focusing on each person’s individual needs, and meeting people where they are at. She says “I believe that connection is vital to the therapeutic process and I strive to create an environment to provide this.”
Natasha also loves Brene Brown. In a world where we sometimes struggle to be authentic and vulnerable, Brene reminds me how these are nonnegotiable, “courage is born out of vulnerability, not strength.”. Brene Brown reminds us to call on our courage. Natasha provides services to ages 13 and up for a variety of issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral problems, and family relations. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches, including, but not limited to, CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, play and/or art techniques, and strengths based and positive psychology. She is pursuing training in DBT and hopes to add this to her list soon.
